Cecile Brunner Cl. Rose
I bought a Cecile Brunner cl. cutting on Ebay four months ago and planted it in a small pot and then in the garden. It has been growing at tremendous speed. Some of the canes are 4-5 feet tall. I thought it was not going to bloom now because I thought it needed at least a year to grow and be comfortable but to my surprise, it has flower buds and I saw this flower today. The fragrance is very nice but light.
Evening Primroses
These are my first primroses. I saw them, I read about them, and I bought some seeds. They have been growing nice here in zone 11. Winter was quite rainy and they grew very fast. Yesterday, I saw these flowers… The first two flowers. They are bigger than I thought.

A Day Full of Surprises
Today was a day full of surprises in the garden and things that I still don’t believe.
First a daylily. Climbing the stairs of the front garden and when I was in the balcony I saw a yellowish flowers in the other garden. I was like “What is that? I thought it was a pumpkin flower. When I arrived it was this daylily. I had double surprise because first I go to that garden almost every day and I didn’t even see the flower stalk growing LOL. Second, these are young small plants. My aunt gave them to me 2 or 3 months ago. It was a big surprise to see them blooming so fast.
One of the other surprises was the Cecile Brunner cl. rose with buds. Like everyday, I went to see the Cecile Brunner hoping it had flower buds but thinking it was impossible. You see, I bough this rose as a small cutting on November 6th. It had only one or two leaves and no roots. It has been growing very fast but still I though climbing roses needed 1 or 2 years to bloom… I guess I was wrong. I went to the garden and I saw 4-5 buds. I was extremely happy. I cannot wait for them to open. I want to smell the fragrance. :)
The other surprise was this tree trunk… UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I was going to make a rustic garden fence for that part of the garden so I went to the forest to get some trunks and branches. I put that trunk there 3-4 months ago. I went to that garden today to see the daylily flower and I noticed the trunk was growing leaves!?! =/ … I still cannot believe it LOL.
And… le cat.
