My Roses After Days of Rain

It has been raining a lot these days…
I just have two roses blooming right now. A miniature red rose and the incredibly fast grower Cecile Brunner cl.
I liked this rose a lot. It is a very nice disease resistant rose… so I took cuttings and they are growing very well.
Cecile Brunner has been growing growing and growing a little more… some of the canes are almost 10 feet long.

Cecile Brunner Cl. Rose

I bought a Cecile Brunner cl. cutting on Ebay four months ago and planted it in a small pot and then in the garden. It has been growing at tremendous speed. Some of the canes are 4-5 feet tall. I thought it was not going to bloom now because I thought it needed at least a year to grow and be comfortable but to my surprise, it has flower buds and I saw this flower today. The fragrance is very nice but light.

Rose Update

My rose opened her buds.  This was the first rose I planted in that garden a couple of months ago. It is kind of my first rose. I used to have roses when I was a kid but I didn't know how to take care of them so they didn't look very well. Now I know how to do it and this is the result. :)

I love this rose :)

Roses, Cecile Brunner & Impatiens

Sometimes blogging is intimidating. You don't know if the readers will like what you post. This is one of my two first blogs. I made two the same day … a blogger and a tumblr because I didn't know which one was better. Anyway, that's why I want to please you all. I want readers so I can share these things with them and it would be nice to make some friends here. Ok, now I will start.

During this Winter I've been working hard in the garden. Making it bigger, buying more plants, amending the soil, etc. Yesterday, I decided to plant another rose in my garden, a Cecile Brunner cl.. I grew it from a cutting that I bought on November 6th on Ebay. Here it is.

And this is the first rose I planted in the garden. It is a miniature rose, but Gosh! it has been growing so fast. It is beautiful.

It has been there for a couple of months (2-3) and it has been growing very fast. It is the third time it blooms but this is going to be the best.

These are some impatiens that are growing among my daylilies. They were volunteers and they are growing in full sun.  They are beautiful.
